Senior/Lead Production Technologist

Key Responsibilities

The role of Senior/Lead Production Technologist will include the activities below:

• Responsible for leading the Production Optimization Team, and for delivering Production Technology solutions to the Business Unit
• Responsible for identification of production optimization opportunities for the Dunga field, and executing well interventions Initiation Memo’s (surveillance proposals, workover proposals, etc.) and for assisting Drilling & Well services in planning and (on occasion) execution of such interventions
• Utilize well and reservoir surveillance tools for efficient monitoring of field data, and to manage well test approvals and artificial lift system optimization (ESPs, SRPs)
• Lead development of production forecasts, and production efficiency reports
• Provide assistance to project teams in support of development studies
• Liaising with Production Operations/Support, Drilling/Well Services, & Facility Engineering
• Training and coaching of less experienced staff.

Who we are looking for

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum) required
• Graduate degrees preferred
• Minimum 15 years relevant experience in Production Technology / Petroleum Eng.
• Experience with well & reservoir surveillance, stimulation, workovers, etc.
• Experience with artificial lift systems (ESPs, SRPs)
• Experience with Eclipse, Saphir, Prosper, as well as, MS Office Suite
• Resolve, GAP, OFM, Babelfish, XSPOC, and/or S-Rod experience a plus
• Prior experience with mentoring young Engineers, as well as, project leadership
• Fluent in English – written and spoken
• An effective team player with drive, and excellent communication skills
