To share non-proprietary information between member companies and the Government with a view to advancing investment and the operating climate for the industry in Kazakhstan
To monitor legislative developments affecting oil and gas industry, and coordinate industry efforts to comment on draft laws
To communicate industry viewpoints on the issues important for KPA
Following the KPA’s decision to move from Almaty to Astana, we are recruiting for the position of Executive Director.
This role will report to the Board of Directors.
Вased in Astana, Kazakhstan/ traveling to Almaty, Western Kazakhstan is required.
April 1, 2013 Preferable.
Key responsibilities are:
Building strong relationships with relevant Government Ministers and officials, including within the Ministry of Oil & Gas, and the Oil & Gas business community of Kazakhstan
Active implementation of KPA Strategies, Action Plans and goals through direct regular contacts with key government officials
Planning and organizing KPA Board and General Meetings of the members of the Association, subcommittees and Working Group Meetings, and KPA events such as round tables and seminars
Development of business relationships and other issues with other industry associations (KazEnergy, Amcham, Eurobak, BBG, etc)
Pursue emerging legislation and operational issues that affect the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan and facilitate the establishment of KPA positions on these key issues
Deep understanding, diligent monitoring and effective communication of the investment climate issues of oil and gas investors to the Board and General Membership, as well as to Government and other associations
Supervising all administrative functions of KPA with other KPA staff, providing full logistical support for KPA events and activities
Managing the KPA Representative Office including the transition from Almaty to Astana and establishing the new office and staff
Assist the Treasurer and Accountant in managing the budgets and regular detailed reporting to the Board of KPA on any actions
Knowledge of Kazakh, Russian and English is essential.
