Pakistan was among the first few countries to recognize the independence of Kazakhstan in December 1991. Diplomatic relations were established with Kazakhstan in 1992 right after the independence and Pakistan opened its Embassy in Almaty in 1992. Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy cordial relations based on common approach towards world issues as well as mutual understanding and goodwill. Embassy of Pakistan shifted from Almaty to Astana in 2010 and is situated on the 15th Floor of Peking Palace Hotel. Although a small Embassy, we have Diplomatic, Consular, Commercial and Defense Sections. Embassy coordinates with the Kazakh Government on bilateral issues.
