Artificial Lift Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Production optimization for flowing, ESP and beam–pumped wells
• Prepare and optimize rod string design for pumping wells. Evaluate causes for failures of rods
• Review completion designs and installation procedures with associated automation and make recommendations for further improvements
• Automation and instrumentation expertise in pump controllers. Be able to trouble shoot and perform repairs
• Monitor daily production through automation and make specific recommendations to improve performance; e.g. changes in speed, and control parameters to maximize recovery while minimizing equipment wear
• Coordinate service company support for artificial lift and workover operations
• Monitor warehouse inventory to ensure adequate supply including backup supplies of tubular’s, tools, and other items related to pumping equipment
• Track historical well performance to ensure that lessons learned are captured and implemented
• Contribute to the optimisation of the Dunga asset’s performance together with production and petroleum engineering teams
• Recommend corrosion and scale treatment programs
• Liaison and communication with the subsurface and well operations teams
• Recommend/implement training of field personnel in automation and well testing
• Develop appropriate standards for rod designs
• Participate in cross asset initiatives to identify new technologies and enable the global team to benefit from experiences elsewhere
